Pravus Mortis Charter

Pravus Mortis Guild Charter

PM-1 Guild Decisions

PM-1.1 Officers

Pravus Mortis is led by a group of officers who work matters out in the form of a Council. All major guild decisions are left to the judgment of the officers, and that supercedes all. Officers are chosen based on their proven ability to handle issues, their loyalty, and level headedness. When speaking to an officer, be it in tells or a public channel, use the same respect you expect to be shown to you. No matter what the point is you wished to discuss, be you right or wrong, don’t become rude, obnoxious, or disrespectful. Officers and members are equally responsible for their actions in the guild. If a member feels that the officer has made a wrong decision, they are urged to talk to the other officers regarding the matter.

PM-2 Recruitment

PM-2.1 Evaluation

New recruits will have a two-raid guesting period minimum. Guests will be allowed into raids if we have room for them without removing our members from the raid. Guests will be expected to come to the raids as we would any member; however, if the expedition is full and members are waiting, the guest will be asked to drop from the expedition to make room for the members unless officers deem said guest is crucial to the raid's success. Once the guest has been approved for eval, they will begin a 30-day eval period for full membership. Recruits are encouraged to read the guidelines and policies on this website and talk to a HR (Human Resources) member or officer when in doubt about another member's actions towards them or about any questions regarding rules.

PM-2.2 Evaluation Requirements

- Justifiable amount of playtime to support a high end raiding guild’s needs.
- Please see this thread for class / flag / AA requirement for new recruits:
http://www.pravusmortis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22281

PM-2.3 Applying for Membership:

New recruits must meet all requirements prior to applying for evaluation or be reasonably close to them for high demand classes. If you have any questions about the recruitment rules at any time, feel free to direct them to either an officer or HR member.

- New recruits may be deguilded for unacceptable action at any time.
- New recruits should not ask for any guild assistance on quest/epic encounters until after they are made permanent members and gained the loyalty of the guild.
- New recruits may be deguilded at any time if the officers feel they have no chance of making full member due to their actions or abilities.

PM-3 Respect

PM-3.1 Basic Respect

At all times you will show respect towards all players in the game , not just in Pravus Mortis. How you act with the Pravus Mortis guild tag , does not only reflect on you. It reflects the guild as a whole , if your unable to show players not just within Pravus Mortis but outside of Pravus Mortis respect. Don't bother applying , we don't need or want you here. Examples of this is , training , KS'ing and /ooc or /shout arguments. All of the above make not only you but the guild look bad , again if you incapable of not doing any of these stated actions. Do Pravus Mortis a favor and look elsewhere for a guild.

PM-3.2 Friendship

Pravus Mortis is a team and working together is very important to the success and fun of being in the guild. When people ask questions, try to always reply friendly and courteously. When people say Hi and Bye, make an effort to greet and bid them farewell. When someone asks for help, try to assist them when you can, they are more likely to help you if you need it later on if you do.

Try not to say things that you know will offend some people, we are a guild from many walks of life. Remember this before you say something that could offend someone.

PM-3.3 Disruptive Arguments

No guild-member should attack another member on the boards or in guild-chat in any way for any reason.

Everyone in this guild is important and deserves respect, be it an officer or a 1st day recruit. All disruptive arguments WILL be taken to tells. Disruptive arguments in guild chat will result in unnecessary repercussions. Malicious arguing will not be tolerated in this guild. Any member found to be starting this type of argument in guild chat will receive a warning from an officer and possibly removed from the guild if the behavior cannot be corrected. Openly berating and arguing with Officer decisions in open channels is not beneficial to the guild, nor the person doing it. This should be handled calmly and privately, and that does not mean spam them in tells during a raid either.

PM-3.4 Bullying or Harassment

Bullying or harassment of any member of PM will not be tolerated , whether they are eval or a full member. If you have issues with people in guild then express them via the feedback forum for the officers to consider or if they are eval use their new member discussion thread to post your details and views on them. If you can't stand to deal with someone /ignore is a last resort that works. Consistent direct bullying or harassment of a member can get you removed.

PM-3.5 No Drama

Drama arises from time to time as people passionate for the game and aspects of it have conflicting views and differences of opinion. There are, however, some people that seem to be at the epicenter of drama week after week, month after month. The reasons may differ, the person that threw the first stone may differ, but those people are in the thick of it each time. Such persons may be there because of what they say, what they do, and in some cases even what they failed to say or do. These drama dispensers and magnets wear heavily on the membership and leadership of the guild, busying resources better spent on more important or enjoyable things. As such, repeat offenders will be given suggestions on ways they might improve the situation. If these people show no interest or motivation to solve the issues, they will be asked to leave the guild.

PM-4 Your Character

PM-4.1 Main Character

All players will select ONE character to be their main character. This is the character that got you recruited in to PM, and as such will be the one we count on. This character is the one you will bring to all guild functions, seek to level, enhance gear on, and work on epic for. You may (during times other than guild functions) play alts, but no gear from guild events will readily go to alts (unless rotting). Epic items count as guild functions. However we do have the rare occurrence where we will allow a main switch. Qualifications are as such:

1. You must be a member of Pravus Mortis for a minimum of at least 6 months.

2. You will under go an eval for your new main. The eval will last no less than 30 days unless the officers decide to terminate the eval or you decide to return to your main.

3. Once you are made FM on your new main, you may not switch mains again. This is a one-time deal.

4. The officers must view your main switch as beneficial to the guild. For example, you cannot switch mains to a ranger if your main is a cleric if we receive more benefit for the guild when you are on your cleric then we would on your ranger.

PM-4.2 Anon

Being anon is not allowed by anyone in the guild, members or evals while our official raids are in progress. during raids, you may go roleplay, but not anon. There may be some circumstances where officers decide certain members are never allowed to go anon and this will be coordinated between officers and the specific members personally. There are no restrictions on using roleplay and is the prefered method for those wanting some privacy.

PM-4.3 Character Updates

Each guild member is responsible for keeping their character information up to date on the website and keeping themselves informed about current events in the guild via the forums. Each member, evaluation or otherwise, is expected to have a Magelo Profile (listed at http://www.magelo.com) or an EQPlayers link without question. Not having a Magelo or EQPlayers profile could result in not getting to wear those pants you’ve always wanted.

PM-4.4 Alt Characters

Each full member of our guild is allowed to have as many alt characters guilded as they want. Any alt that is guilded and not on the character page will NOT be allowed to participate in loot awards. If you are on a guilded alt that is not documented and are approached by an officer you must identify your main character. If you do not in a timely fashion that alt will be removed with no further discussion.

PM-4.5 Cross Guilding

Pravus Mortis does not support or accept cross guilding where it can generate conflict of interests.

PM-4.6 Becoming Inactive

The inactive flag on the character list determines if a person is officially inactive.

There are two ways to get a members flag changed to inactive:
1. They announce that they want to be made inactive, but don't want to deguild.
2. If their attendance for the last 30 days drops below 10% then a vote will be cast to make them inactive. Any HR or Officer can put this poll up.

PM-4.7 Returning from Inactive

If a member has deguilded themselves when they went inactive then they will have to reapply to PM as per a normal app and go through a full eval.

Anyone who has not deguilded, the following will occur:
- Been inactive under 2 months: Must raid at least 3 times in 10 days after announcing their return.
- Inactive 2-6 months: Short eval, must make 25% attendance for those two weeks.
- Inactive over 6 months: Standard eval, must make 50% attendance during eval.

While on eval, returning members will be treated as other evals with regards to loot, flags, epics etc.

PM-4.8 Raiding Alts

After someone has been an active full member for a continuous recent period of 3 months or more, they maybe eligible to make an alt of theirs a raiding alt if they meet the following qualifications:
- Main has over 40% attendance
- Have shown a consistent willingness to raid with the character when we are short on the class
- lvl 80 with over 300 AA's
- Is a current raid needed class. (i.e. we are short on the class and require them to raid some targets)

PM-5 Discipline

PM-5.1 Officer Discipline

An Officer’s disciplinary actions will not be discussed in any form in open channels and won’t necessarily be discussed with people not directly involved. Trust your Officers decisions.

PM-5.2 Appeals

Appeals may be made, however you must be very careful in doing this. Do not pester Officers, being an annoyance will not gain you favor. Do not badmouth Officers/Guild mates while appealing. All appeals must be OK’d by the Officers before any sentencing will be lifted. If the Guild Officers decree your punishment it is final and there will be no further discussion on the matter for at least 3 weeks which allows for a cool-down period.

PM-6 Raiding

PM-6.1 Mandatory Attendance

All raids are mandatory. If a raid is called, everyone is expected to drop what you are doing and make every effort to assist the guild. It doesn't matter if it is an experience group, whether you are working on trade skills, or marketing in the Bazaar. You will support the guild if asked to do so.

PM-6.2 Scheduling a Raid

Raids will be scheduled on the raid board when possible. IF you are logged in, your participation is required. Never will it be expected to drop RL commitments to play during these times, but it is expected that you make no other online commitments during these raids. It will be expected that you camp at the designated raid site the night before (if you plan to arrive late), or arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of raid start time. When raid time starts, the raid will begin - no more sitting around for an hour making groups, buffing, etc.

Raid Rules:
- All orders pertaining to the raid come from only the raid leader/officer.
- Show up swiftly, and on time. Being late wastes everyone else's time and is disrespectful.
- Be ready to pay for your own airfare if an OTM is called. Porters will be on hand for the guild, but don’t expect one to leave a raid to come port you to the raid.
- When forming groups, invite members that shall form a solid group that could make or break a raid if needed to. If you are LFG, your LFG tag is expected to be up.
- Constant hindrances on the raid (IE: Constant AFK'ing, Not Assisting, and idiotic stunts, etc.) will get you warned, and/or removed from the raid (can result in guild removal if consistent). If those hindrances cause the wipeout of a raid other disciplinary actions may also be taken.
- As always, use common sense before you act or speak.
- Please try to remain shrunk at all times.
- The best way to get buffs is to find the class that casts the buff you want and send a tell for it.

Requirements:
- A stable form of invisibility for yourself such as Shroud of Stealth and Cloudy potions. Gnomish Vanishing devices, and click BP's do not count as they are unstable form of invisible and are not instant-cast.
- In-Game maps are required! We don't hold hands traveling across zones.
- A decent internet connection/computer system to handle large raid situations.

Buff requests in guild chat or raid say waste mana when multiple people cast the same buff on you.

PM-6.3 Raid Attendance

**We strongly urge anyone guilded in PM, regardless of rank to consistently maintain 50% or above raid attendance**

When invited to guild as an eval member, you will need to add your character to the character page. Once this is done, you are automatically implemented into our raid attendance program (note: you must be guilded for 30 days to see your accurate RA % as it is based off of the past 30 days). This will keep track of what raids you attend and how long you are there. You may check your raid attendance percentage by viewing the character page anytime. After becoming full member and being guilded for at least 2 months, you will be subject to rule #2 listed under PM-4.6.

PM-6.4 Full instances

Currently a majority of the content Pravus Mortis raids are in instanced zones. Such as Tacvi and Anguish. It will occur that we will have more members at the raid than the instance permits so here is the order in which we determine people to get into the instance:
- Required Classes
- Required Class Raid Alts
- Full Members
- Evals
- Guests
- Not-Required Alts

PM-7 Loot

PM-7.1 Raiding Character

Henceforth - as explained above - all people will have one main character. That is the character you loot for during raids. First, your primary must be level 70. Second, you must be present for the raid. You will bring and play your primary character to all guild functions unless specifically asked to do otherwise. All raid capable alts must meet the same guild requirements as your main to raid and enter loot distribution.

PM-7.2 Officer Awarded Loot

All loot will be handled by Officers (or Raid Leaders in the absence of an Officer) with the betterment of the guild in mind. The loot System is officer-based, where officers shall accept tells for said item and award it to a member of their choosing based upon a variety of factors (shown in PM-7.3). PM has no point system for it’s loot. Also, any attempt to manipulate the way loot is awarded other than discussion with officers is prohibited.

PM-7.3 Loot Distribution

Loot Distribution is based on the following factors in order:
- Raid Attendance bands (Top tier is 40%+, 2nd tier is 25-39%, 3rd Tier 0-24%, evals, official raid alts). Each tier has priority on awards over the one below it.
- Raid Attendance percentage and loots awarded over the last 30 raids (50 raids considered if close to next most due person asking)
- How well it benefits class
- Item to be replaced

Officers will usually call 3 times in raid chat for people to ask for a chance at the given loot. During this time if you are interested in the item and are at least 25% or more RA send a tell with a link of the item you are replacing.
If no one sends a tell for an item after the third call tell on the item will be opened to everyone to ask for a chance at it, If there are no tells for it after all tells have been opened up then full members 40%+ RA may roll for the loot for either themselves or their guilded alt. If an item goes to a roll to award, it will not count against the winner as a recorded loot.

PM-7.4 New Recruits and Loot

New recruits will not be allowed to loot any high-end items over full members. Exceptions are made based on:
- Quality of item
- Raid attendance percentage (i.e. eval has 65% RA, and the full member has 8% RA)

PM-8 Epics

PM-8.1 Priority

The officers of the guild will decide in what order epics are done in and assign priority accordingly.

We do not want to hear whining that your epic is not a priority. That does not mean don’t work on your epic, on the contrary we would like to see everyone with their epics but you may not get help if we need to help another over you. To request help on your epic, when given full member access please seek this forum: http://www.pravusmortis.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=27

PM-9 Cheating

PM-9.1 Usage of 3rd Party Software

The blatant use of exploits through 3rd party software will not be tolerated. There is no need for it on raids as it puts the user and the guild at risk not only in reputation but account suspensions as well. This is not the way we want to progress and it is not the way we want others to perceive our progress.

Though we cannot stop you from using 3rd party software, if we see any blatant use you will be removed from the raid. A repeated occurrence of this could also result in being removed from the guild.

As the game and the guild are in a state of constant change, the charter and guilds policy’s are always subject to change. By no means should the Charter be seen as written in stone, some exceptions would always exist. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please contact an officer and/or use the feedback option on this web page.
